I'll vote to keep total bases. I'm not really opposed to OPS as a stat, but I'm not a big fan of having 2 "quality" stats (avg and ops). Just a personal preference.

funny, but I think of total bases as more of a duplicative stat than OPS, so for the same reason I go the opposite way and vot for the change to OPS

Can I abstain? I don't really care one way or the other. Hey Mallery...can you give a heated explanation on this one like you did with the QS v. W? That explained it very well (even though I completely disagree with you...though, see my post in that poll).

You can abstain. We will go with the number who voted at the end of the period.
Basically, OPS is on-base plus slugging. It gives value to those players that get on base by ways other than hits - i.e. walks.
