Are we planning on implementing these proposed rule changes for the upcoming season?
I personally don't feel that's appropriate to drastically change the rules of a keeper league without at least a season's warning.
I know personally, 2/3 of my team is already filled from keepers. I built my team over the last few years based on certain categories and I feel that it would be appropriate to give owners a season to adjust before announcing changes.
Having looked at my team, it's far more likely that these proposed scoring categories will help my current team more than hurt it, but that's really not the point..
If everyone agrees to implement them this season I'll go along with it, but it's just not something that I think should be done in a well-run, high-level league such as this.

A quick review of league history reveals other years with immediate season rule changes. The most significant seems to be the Franchise Tag rule before the 2009 season, which it appears was actually supported by Eulogy. Another example is last year when we changed the waiver claim procedure to FAB. I think it is reasonable to anticipate immediate changes that give us a better game. In my opinion, pitching roster slots and anti-streaming rules are examples of such appropriate changes, even though a "team is built to stream" (I love how that sounds).

I do understand the concerns. But, there are several reasons why we will be implementing any changes this year if voted on.
As mentioned above, in the past any preseason rules changes took place the current season. As, this keeper league limits the number of keepers and is not a dynasty this should not completely alter ones approach.
Also, the changes that are being discussed are not major changes. Most revolve around middle relief pitchers and the hold category. Most of these positions are not kept from year to year. Potential changes from AVG to OBP (or anything like this) really shouldn't someone to not keep a player they were planning on keeping.
Also, the 5SP - 3RP - P potential change to 3SP-3RP-3P, should not change the strategy of any owners.
Thanks

I agree that changing the number of roster spots (5SP, 3RP to 8P), (CI/MI to IF), etc. will not greatly change the strategy of managers as well as the FT tag rule (Yes I supported the FT rule - thanks for pointing that out.... ?) These rules have very minimal effect on the players that are already on franchises. The players' inherent values don't change with these rules.
Changing stat categories obviously isn't the same thing. It effects players that you have previously committed to long before the rule changes actually took place.
Like I said, I have no problem going along with it if everyone agrees. All I ask is that it gets put to an official league vote much like the actual rule changes themselves.
