I noticed yahoo added an 'NA' designation to their options this year. Was wondering what the league thought about adding one for 2014. It would allow us to stash a prospect(s) who is in the real-life minors and would act essentially like a 'DL' spot. Either a guy we drafted or a prospect we call up in our league but then gets sent down in real-life. Suspended players also have an 'NA' designation if I'm not mistaken. I don't have a strong opinion on the matter yet, but just thought it warranted discussion.

if we have this minor league draft ..... why not go for all 5 spots and they are only allowed for our actual minor leaguers

Problem is Tony that we don't have a limit on prospects and not everyone's prospects are listed in yahoo so that couldn't be the exclusive reason for it. I think if we have one or two for incidents like suspension or bereavement and one to stash our minor leaguer who gets called up, that would be better. But all of this for next season.

I agree. Now that MLB allows for bereavement and paternity leaves, etc. maybe we could have 1 NA spot. And it would allow us to keep a prospect that gets sent back down mid-season.
